Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17
On Thursday 17 July 2014 Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down while flying over eastern Ukraine.
The aircraft, a Boeing 777-200-ER, (the same aircraft type used for flight MH370) was carrying 283 passengers and 15 crew. There were no survivors.
